Well, it's about time I did this tablescape!!
Of course again, I am using my favorite colors.
The elements for this tablescape have been on the kitchen table for more than two weeks. Bob has pushed them aside often. Count them, he has three squares a day. I went through three flower arrangements before we got here! The sunflower/daises are real but bring to mind
a children's story in the series "The Little Old Women Who Used Her Head".
I will go through my stack process with pictures and few words.
Placemats from One King's Lane
These never photograph true when photographed alone. |
Cobalt Chargers (plastic) Horchow
Blue and White Dinner Plate, Dollar Tree
Yellow/Butter Salad Plate, my everyday dinnerware.
English Ironstone, Johnson Brothers Snow White/Regency ironstone.
From our Etsy Shoppe
Cobalt Dessert Dish, in my collection for years.
Blue Stems and Lemon Glass from Dollar Tree
Faux Lemon Decor from Dollar Tree
You know, They should really be paying me. But in the interest of disclosure..
They Are Not!
Aren't these cutest napkin rings? Ebay purchase especially to match the placemats
The napkins were thrift store finds and the flatware everyday service.
Can you tell I love these napkin rings
Sunflowers/Daises from Sam's, rest from my garden
The Lemon and Lime shakers are JoAnns Fabrics 70% off
The lemons in the milk glass dish are real lemons.
You can see my Fiesta Pitcher, which is really a little too light for this table.
Guess, that means I must get another pitcher.
While this table's accoutrements were being pushed around the table, both
Bob and my son picked up the faux, fake lemons to see if they were real.
After hearing them make fun of the size, I pulled the real ones
from the fridge for comparison...well almost!
I do hope you enjoyed this table. To me, it says "Summer is still here".

Just beautiful, Ginger! Love your napkin rings, and blue/yellow is a favorite combo of mine!!
I love your yellow and blue colors and the lemon theme. Your pretty placements are so appropriate to basis each table setting. My favorite is your cute lemon napkin rings. Have a wonderful week!

Just gorgeous - and your layering is perfection!!!
LOL with the lemons - John probably would have tried to cut one up!!!
XOXO
A very sunny and happy table! Love the cute napkin rings:@)
Love this color combo -- always! I have the runner that matches your placemats -- found it for just a few bucks on a Clearance table. I need some of those darling napkin rings!
You are so right...it does say summer. The lemon theme is wonderful, and I love those napkin rings also!
This is such a fresh and fun table. I love the colors and the lemon theme does say "Happy Summer"!
Hello sweet friend!
So happy to see you tablescaping with such fun and cheery setting too! I love those yellow lemons napkin rings and your layered dishes are gorgeous for a perfect table setting! I hope your friend is doing better. Blessings and big hugs,
FABBY
You absolutely can not go wrong with those colors together. It's a very favorite color combination for me, and I love your table.
(You got the lemons at DT, you say? I need some. I'm tired of replacing my real ones that I leave sitting out. They don't last as long as other fruit.
Heading to DT....
What a beautiful tablescape, Ginger! I love how you put it together showing us the layers. Love blue and yellow. Now I did a blue and yellow table today too using lemons. You know what they say...like minds! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Love the yellow and navy and the lemons are a great theme! Cute table and now I want some Lemonade!!
hugs,
Linda
Lemons and Blueberries go so well together however, yellow and blue may just take the cake! Beautiful Ginger,
Thank you so much for sharing...
I love your table - everything is so bright and looks so good together.
I am your newest follower - stop by and see my garden.
My friend Phyllis @aroundthehouse told me about your blog.
Have a great day.

Hi Ginger, I love the blue & yellow combo and your table is beautiful. Thanks for linking to the Open House party.

Sherry
You can't go wrong with blue & yellow. Those napkin rings are tooo cute.
What did we do before the Dollar Store?
Cathy's Cupboard Calamity<;)
Very nice Ginger... I love the colors. I've been lazy about doing a Tablescape but these are the same colors I'm looking to use. I need to borrow your plates!
Dearest Ginger,
Lovely post with great photos. Never mind how long it took but the end result is great.
I'm tired from driving in the rain (till after Macon) to Atlanta and back again through the rain from before Macon till almost home. We had lots of showers obviously and yesterday was the worst with almost 6" of rain in the evening. Our bridges got the test...
Hugs to you,
Mariette
Such a cute table with loveliest colour choice.Everything looks so nice. You have done a pretty table to dine..I just love it...Love and Hugs..:):)
I could not put a cute table together like that, especially since I don't have any cute faux lemons LOL
The perfect summer table Ginger...and those are some of my very favorite colors and combinations too!..you set such a gorgeous table!!
I love blue and yellow too, those place mats are gorgeous...Another great job!
Carol
How pretty your table is. Yellow and blue are the perfect colors to pair up. The lemon napkin rings are darling. I went straight to EBAY to see if I could find some. No luck. My navy blue glass chargers do not show up well in pictures either, they always look black. I really want to learn how to blog so I can play to.
I can just see your sweet old Bob moving things around on the table. LOL...The yellow and blue combo always seems so appetizing. Love your lemon napkin holders and the pretty square placemats.
I really had to look twice at the napkin rings, how much fun! Great table, you just can't beat blue and yellow with daisies!
Jenna
Well Ginger - two of my favorite colors are blue and yellow. I love your table scape. sandie
I had to stop by for the lemons. I really love the white plates. I love the others also, but since I started trying to photographic food it looks better with white dishes. So I am loving the white, and anything lemon naturally.
How adorable! Loving all of the blue and yellow and what could be cuter, than those napkin rings? The flower arrangement is terrific and the whole table is so cheery!!
So bright and cheery! Nothing like blue and yellow!
Wonderful to have you be a part of Seasonal Sundays!

Your tablescape is so cheerful! Love it :)
Susan
Yellow is my favorite color, Ginger. And, you have included another of my favs. Lemons! Your table is bright s d fresh and very pretty.
It looks beautiful, Ginger. It is fun to see you doing a tablescape again! I love the blue and yellow theme and anything with lemons calls my name- starting with lemon meringue pie! xop Diana
Here's what is super funny about this: the guys don't take an interest unless and until it affects them in some way! Bob moved those things around for days and probably wouldn't have otherwise noticed them!!! Ramon knows he dare not touch anything I have put out for tablescaping. That's grounds for a head smackin'! :-) Well, when life serves you lemons, make lemonade...even if the lemons are faux and small! ;-)
Beautiful color combo. I can imagine just how pretty the true color of the charger is! What is it about blue and purple?!??!! They never want to cooperate!!!
Your lemon napkin rings are super cute!!! You originally did this post in August? PERFECT month for lemons and lemonade!!!
Again...glad that you brought this one to my attention since I was still not back in the swing of things when you first posted it. Have a Happy New Year!
