Colorful Firmament!!

Sunsets are Healthy!

Have you ever noticed what happens when you watch a sunset? Yeh, I know the sun disappears. What happens to you?
You, get still. You get quiet. You focus on something pleasurable. You begin to take in the different elements of what your eyes see, the horizon, colors, shadows and so much more. Each of us becomes engrossed for the few moments during which this event takes place.
Have you noticed that something is happening internally as well? Most of us experience a sense of peace, contentment, well being. Call it by any name but it is the same feeling we experience when we see a small child, hold a puppy or kitty. You just lowered your
your blood pressure.

Let's try it!
Come with me to the Azores,
Relax and enjoy.

Now, go out and enjoy the day
but watch the sunset tonight.

Wow, I feel better already!
Linking to the great parties. Please link back to them for inspiration.

Beautiful. It's those moments that make us stop and take a breath that are the best part of the day.

Dearest Ginger,

This was such a wonderful post with great pictures. Even more so the deep innerthoughts you managed to express here. Yes, a sunset is balm to our soul. We watched it in Acapulco from the balcony at the Regency Club Lounge from the Hyatt hotel. It was so lovely for sipping a glass of wine at the end of the day with some hors d'oeuvres and watching the sunset. A perfect day's ending and with that happy feeling we left to our rooms...
Love to you,

Mariette

I agree you can't beat a great sunset and no two are the same. Time to watch and relax, thinking about what has gone and what is to come. Your photographs capture it all. Perhaps we should all take a photograph of the sunset and send them to you.
Happy Week

I agree with you on watching the sunset. I miss watching by the seashore. I lived in a coastal part of Northern Philippines then and I would always watch the sunset and now i miss it so much. Great shots.

My Watery post, have a lovely day!

Ginger, you're so right about sunsets (and cute kids and kittens) making us pause with wonder and relax. Thanks so much for your beautiful and thought-provoking post! You just helped lower my blood pressure a bunch!

Sunsets are one of my favourite things to contemplate, I think you might like one of my recent posts of a local sunset. :)
