MY LOVER, FLOWERS AND SURPRISES!

I am so excited that dear Katherine asked me to co-host today. I sincerely appreciate her kindness and support.
 She is truly supportive of new and/or inexperienced bloggers. I am so glad to be here today and I am so glad to see you here, too.
~~~
I AM SHARING THREE
OF MY FAVORITE THINGS!
MY LOVER, FLOWERS AND SURPRISES!
Ha! Betcha Didn't Think
Savannah Granny
Had A LOVER!
FIFTY THREE YEARS AND COUNTING
AND HE STILL BRINGS ME FLOWERS.
I have posted about Sweet Old Bob's habit
of bringing flowers on Wednesday's, his grocery shopping day.
Don't blush but fifty three years ago our love was hot and passionate. Today our love is like a comfortable fitting leather glove.
Our Fiftieth Anniversary Cruise
 We married as teenagers and pretty much raised each other. We raised three loving children who gave us THE FIVE GREATEST GRANDSONS in the world. I may get a little argument on that, but, Hey, this is my post!
For many years, we were blessed with good health and we shared the things together that most young couples share. My Sweet Old Bob and I have traveled the world with each other, having a wonderful time and experiencing sights and things, that in our youth, we could only imagine.
We strolled the famous black, pink, green and pure white sand beaches of the world. We visited the castles of Europe and enjoyed the natural wonders of our own country.
My FAVORITE part of all these experiences was sharing them with my LOVER and Soul Mate.
Live progresses and things change. Some of you may remember this post from last year.  HERE!
It was then, Bob decided his long distance traveling was finished.
Some things never change.
BOB IS MY FAVORITE ~ LOVER ~ FRIEND
Many years ago, we were driving around town, running errands. We were talking about a friend of his and I mentioned that X was his best friend.  A shocked Bob quickly but gently informed me,  I was his best friend. I stood corrected. I was his FAVORITE. Life is Good!
FLOWERS!
Today my lover brought flowers.  I had an extremely frustrating afternoon, I look up and Bob is coming in, from grocery shopping, with his arm full of flowers.
I Get busy and make a centerpiece,
another of my favorite things.
Bob comes in and gives his approval and admiration for what I have created with his gift. This is our natural routine.
I am so glad my FAVORITE FRIEND/LOVER likes MY FAVORITE FLOWERS.  I hope you liked them as well.
SURPRISES!!
I LOVE SURPRISES, DON'T YOU?
I CAN'T TELL YOU ABOUT MY FABULOUS SURPRISE UNTIL FRIDAY!
PLEASE COME OVER AND VISIT ME AT
FOR MY SURPRISE ANNOUNCEMENT!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR VISITING KATHERINE AND ME.  I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU AGAIN TOMORROW.
THANK YOU  FOR HAVING ME KATHERINE!
What a lovely share & love beaming thru your write, Ginger. We, too, were young & had a similar walk thru 50+ years now, as have you. Our trips to Europe & throughout this beautiful world have been fun ... as have yours. Wouldn't want to talk beside anyone other than my lover, as do you yours.
So enjoyed your loving share. You make a beautiful couple.
Happy Thanksgiving `
Have a beautiful weekend.
TTFN ~
Hugs,
Marydon
This is truly an inspirational post, Ginger, that you can write this after 53 years of marriage, as someone else said, you give some of us hope! Although, they don't make men like your hubby anymore.......too bad. ((hugs)) xo
OK, I am super-dee-duper late to this because my week has been a hot mess of a week. I'm so glad that I didn't miss it. In fact, if I hadn't clicked to the host link, I wouldn't have rediscovered a blog that I had lost a while ago. So I'm double grateful.
I love this post. Your Bob is JUST like my Sir Lotsa Hair. He brings me flowers by the bunch so I can do what I want with them. It is my favorite thing about him, aside from his faith... and those eyes... but I digress.
I loved the centerpiece and what you did to the pots. I could have used that idea last night as I was creating centerpieces with some flowers he brought home.
Congratulations on finding your soul mate so young and enjoying so many years with him!
