One of my favorite ports of call on our recent cruise was
Halifax, Nova Scotia.
That is because
about an hour's drive outside of Halifax
is the beautiful little fishing village of Peggy's Cove.
According to local legend Peggy's Cove is named for a young girl who was the lone survivor of a shipwreck in the area during the 1800's.
This is such a beautiful little fishing village, I see no need for narrative. Just enjoy the view.
I really hope you enjoyed our day tour of Peggy's Cove.
If so , please leave a comment.
I Loooove your comments!
Let's party here:

We live in central Canada in Ontario, but a few years back we tour a 3 week tour of the eastern Maritimes and one of our stops was Peggy's Cove. I think this was the best part of our tour! Such a sweet, romantic town. Loved your pics, brought back some awesome memories. Diane
Peggy's cove is beautiful. What neat pictures too. You really captured the beauty too Ginger. Glad you had such a wonderful time.
Beautiful....thanks for sharing these gorgeous photos!!! You must have a new camera??? Have a beautiful day!!!
How beautiful. When we were in Hallifax in late September, we chose to "do" the city -- which we thoroughly enjoyed. However, if we ever go back, we'll certainly do the Peggy's Cove tour!
Thanks for the lovely trip - I have never been there - so this was great. sandie
Ginger, what great photos! We spent a week on PEI many years ago, staying in an old railroad station converted to a house, and your photos brought back wonderful memories. Lovely spot!
I have some friends who live in Peggy's Cove! I've never been up to visit, but the pictures they show us when they visit, it is gorgeous!! I still want to get up there someday!
I so enjoyed this trip with you! What amazing scenery, Ginger. Loved every single picture. So glad y'all had fun!!!

Beautiful photos. I was at Peggy's Cove 20 years ago camping with my husband and eating lobsters for every meal. It looks the same. Lovely.

Beautiful place and beautiful photographs. Every single one looks like a postcard. Loved getting a peek at you too!
Ginger, you're living my dream. Traveling and visiting all the wonderful places, is just what I'd like to do. You always capture them beautifully with your camera too. I love to see each post you make.
Hugs...Tracy :)
Dearest Ginger,
Oh, this post at least shows something beautiful and pure! Last post was so different.
What a fate for little Peggy around the 1800s for being the sole survivor; probably loosing her entire family. Life often can be cruel.
Looks like a great cruise the two of you enjoyed. I've never been to that part of Canada, only to Québec province, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia.
Love to you,
Mariette
