Christmas Trees Of Greenbrier

Do you remember when Kim and I visited
HERE
We were on our way
HERE
The beautiful Greenbrier Resort
White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.
I know everyone is busy but I thought I would share the many
Christmas Trees of Greenbrier!
Holiday Eye Candy!
The Tree In The Grand Hall
This tree was in the main dining room.
Decorated with the signature china for Greenbrier
by Homer Laughlin from the design of Dorothy Draper.
Trees in the Grand Ballroom.
There was a golden tree in each corner.
It is beautiful reflected in the mirror.

The plaster ceiling was the only architectural feature
saved during the restoration after WW11.
The large mirror on the opposite wall reflects
me taking the picture.
Not a Christmas Tree but I had to show you the
original dance floor from 1923. Isn't it amazing.
You can see where the large doors to the garden
opened on rollers.
~~~~~~
The next three photos are the
"Dream Tree"
consisting of $1,000,000 in gifts for
needy children in the area.
 This lovely tree is in the Garden Room.
This tree and the one below are in the sitting room.
Don't you love that wall color.
There were other trees that I was unable to snap
or they didn't turn out well.
I hope you enjoyed this quick view of
"The Christmas Trees of Greenbrier"
In the weeks to come, I will share more of the resort and the decor that remains true to Dorothy Draper's original design.
Have a Blessed Christmas!
I am so glad you showed us the dance floor. That's the kind of stuff I really like to see. If only that floor could talk...! :-)
We spent a week at the Greenbrier in 2000. We attended a cooking school and met Julia Child. What an amazing experience. One of those cherished memories of a life time. Thanks for sharing this beautiful resort in the Christmas season.
