EVERYTHING I HAVE
IS OVERSTUFFED!
THAT INCLUDES ME AND MY CUPBOARDS!!
I am trying to get back into the swing of things
so I am joining our favorite blogland Sweetie, Sheila
Shelia, after seeing your awesome cupboards I almost backed out. WOW!!
I am also joining Kim
Kim wows us everyday. Go see her chalk paint table!
First let me just share this pic of the pretty flowers a friend brought by yesterday. Bob said he will plant it in the garden tomorrow. Thank you Marian and Bob.
You may have seen my dining room cupboards before.
These cupboards were built-in when the we built the house, twenty-five years ago.
We won't be looking behind the bottom doors. |
The mirrored runner is a beveled door mirror from a home improvement store. |
Now, let's see what's stuffed inside.
A Tassel House tassel. I want to attempt to do one on my own. |
This a collection of gifts and purchases. Waterford, American Brilliance, thrift store finds and Ebay. A set of champagne/sherbets on the second shelf was a savings stamp store item back in the 60s. |
Most of my decorative collection is stored in living room cupboards |
This side holds stemware that's a conglomeration of all kinds of things. Top three shelves are Waterford plus a couple of items from a blended scotch distillery in Scotland |
The two bottom shelves contain cheap seasonal glassware that is used often and carelessly. Four of these glasses are from Homegoods. |
St Pat is still hanging around |
The dinnerware is Charm by Anchor Hocking/Fire King |
The milkglass salad plates are Westmoreland's "Forget Me Not". My friend Margaret and I use the two white cups for impromptu teatime. |
"Royal Gold" by Royal Doulton I consider this my special occasion china. |
I only display a small portion of the 12 place settings and serving pieces. |
The rest is stored in a protective storage set. The only draw back is handwashing. |
A few pieces of my Mom's depression glass. She loved Jeanette's, "Iris and Herringbone". I enjoy the candleholders. |
The butter dish and hen are favorites |
A few fun pieces from Homer Laughlin. I have more HL pieces that I will share some other time. As you can see this is a catchall for just about anything. |
WELL, THESE CUPBOARDS ARE NOT AESTHETICALLY DISPLAYED BUT I HOPE YOU ENJOYED YOUR VISIT.
Be sure to visit Shelia and Kim. They are always inspiring.
PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT TO LET ME KNOW YOU VISITED.
HUGS, GINGER

Hi there! Everything looks so lovely! I hope Bob is doing well!
Ginger, I adore what is stuffing your cabinets. That's some major eye candy, my friend, and for some reason that Royal Doulton looks vaguely familiar. Hmmmm... I wonder why! ;-)
I am so glad to see you posting again, and I hope each day brings renewed health. Feel better!
XO,
Sheila :-)

Ginger!
Those are the most beautiful built-in hutches I have ever seen! I can't help but think that after seeing the treasures they are displaying!
It's like being in a fine china and glass collectible antique museum.

Thanks for sharing.

Your cupboards are beautiful. You have a fantastic collection of crystal and china. I too have the blue stemware from Dollar Tree. I use it with my Blue Willow dishes and who cares if a stem or two get broken in the dishwasher? Happy decorating!
Love and Blessings,
Debbie

Several pieces are ones that I have and enjoy....
