Last Day to enter Friday December 2nd!
Today I would like to share another day of the cruise that Kim and I took in October.
I am busy decorating for Christmas. I want to be able to participate in the Christmas Blog Party.
So I will reminisce about our October cruise.
When the cruise ship docked in Bar Harbor, Main, we immediately went ashore and then climbed aboard another boat.

We took off on a three hour tour (scary isn't it) to visit the beautiful and numerous lighthouses of this rugged area.
It was a blustery day but we enjoyed the views of Acadia National Park
The coastline was rugged but beautiful. We would be cruising through the Cranberry Isles and their lighthouses
We saw many homes of the "rich and famous".
Bear Island Lighthouse
Bass Harbor Lighthouse
Little Cranberry Island Life Saving Station
Winter Harbor Lighthouse
Egg Rock Lighthouse
Back ashore, we couldn't have gone aground with all those beautiful lighthouses, we began to explore the downtown area.
A little silliness here and there! This was just too tempting!
I was surprised to see so many flowers in bloom. I guess I thought it got colder earlier here.
The weather changed several times during the day. We were told that was normal. It did clear up for a while however and we enjoyed strolling.
The flowers were beautiful.
All the sightseeing in the morning left us hungry!
Did you notice, Kim is not in any of these pictures. The windy weather was doing a number on her hair and she wasn't about to get on the other side of the camera.
Me, I don't know any better!

After a hearty lunch on local Maine lobster we took Oli's Trolley and headed to Acadia National Park and Cadillac Mountain.
By the time we got to the top of Cadillac Mountain it had begun to rain extremely hard. This was the last picture I was able to snap.
That is the city below and a cruise ship. Not sure if this was ours. There was another in the area and this one appears to be moving.
After a wonderful day in the Bar Harbor area
we headed back to our ship for departure. Tomorrow we would be in Boston, Mass.
We loved our day with our gracious Maine brethren.
