In a recent post I shared runners that I had made
with fabric that reminded me of
Monet's Garden at Giverney
Many of you agreed with me,
so I decided to alter the tablescape I had in mind.
I decided to try and interpret the master's
awesome gardens. I do know that is a tall order
I took lots of pictures so I will keep the narrative
to a minimum and put the sources at the end.

Oh Ginger you did a magnificent rendition. It looks absolutely stunning. I couldn't pick a favorite vignette so please don't make me:) Oh okay, I adore the chair:)
Thank you so much for sharing...
You had me at Monet. Love the table runners you made and what a lovely interpretation of the master on your table with your dishes, flower styling and accessories. If I can ever get my table refinished I'd love to try a table setting vignette myself ... in the meantime I'll keep checking in to learn from you.

They have recreated Giverny this summer at the New York Botanical Garden.
You most certainly did come close! It's gorgeous! I love those salt & pepper shakers. They are too pretty for words!
Pull me up a chair and let's just be awe struck...I feel as if we just sat and chat with Monet himself!
Magnificent! Awesome! You did a fabulous recreation, my friend. Everything is perfect, the rose the most beautiful finishing touch.

Your flowers elevate this to a work of art. Monet would have approved. I've long had the Charles Field Haviland Monet plates on my "list"...some day. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Cherry Kay
Dearest Ginger,
What a lovely Monet's garden you created! This would certainly have inspired the famous painter. Great for combining items from the SAVANNAH SECRET CELLAR.
Have a wonderful day and weekend following. Hope you too got some good rains tonight. We did and needed it.
Love to you,
Mariette

Ginger, isn't that fabric called Monet or Giverny or something like that? You nailed the gardens for sure. I am so lusting after those crocheted pansy coasters.. Must find that pattern. The chargers, the crystal, the flowers.. all perfect for your theme and sooooo pretty.. xomarlis
Ginger, you did some beautiful job here. I love your glasses and silverware. I went right over to your Etsy shop but did not see the crocheted doilies, bet some one scooped them up. xo

The runners certainly do look like Monet's garden. I have always wanted to go to see his garden. I did visit Renoirs garden some years ago and plucked a piece of olive branch which I still have tucked away in an old book.
I love your hydreangeas, they are such beautiful soft colours.
Passing by through No Minimalist here linky.

All I can say is that Monet would be impressed! I can just imagine sitting at this lovely table drinking tea and eating crumpets (whatever those are). I loved seeing some of your etsy items used as part of the tablescape. Great job, my sweet friend!
