A Table For Four For The Fourth!
I determined to put this table together
without buying anything!
I had everything from previous uses.
Starting with the center/side piece.
This table is narrow so when setting the table for four
the centerpiece must be set to one side.
The flowers are from my stuggling garden.
Nikko Hydrangea, Limelight Hydrangea
and Euphorbia for white and blue.
Small American Flag and a red spinner
add a touch of red. Combined in a
white pitcher, my centerpiece if finished.
~~~~~~~~~
Now for the layers.
White placemat from Dollar Tree
Cobalt charger from Horchow.
White Sonoma Valley/Signature Housewares
plate through Amazon
Vintage Charm Ruby/Anchor Hocking
salad plate.
Blue and white plaid service/dessert plate.
Goodwill.
Vintage Charm Ruby/Anchor Hocking
berry bowl/dessert.
The tablecloth is 60 inch fabric for sale in our Etsy shop. |
Another attempt at the rim shot. This is fun!
Red Goblet from Dillards.
Beaded Coasters, Kim Seybert, Harrods of London.
Beaded Coasters, Kim Seybert, Harrods of London.
Our everyday flatware,
The cobalt hurricane candleholder was thrifted.
The cobalt pitcher in the background
is Fiesta that I have had for years.
The red and the white napkins have become
vintage since I purchased them new.
The napkin ring is simple grosgrain ribbon
and a spinner and small American Flag
are tucked into each napkin as a favor.
All the patriotic decor is from a previous
garden club luncheon. The red, white and blue striped
candle was a sale purchase from Pier One
and is placed in vintage milkglass.
Including the boa and the Wonder Woman tiara.
At the touch of a button
One can light up the party!
Sorry, no nightime photos, I'm watching fireworks.
What a perfectly pretty, beautiful table! My fave are the plaid salad plates. But, they whole things is awesome! What's for lunch?
Oh my sweet friend! You did a gorgeous table, in great style, to celebrate Old Glory, I love all your dishes, specially the plaid salad plates, wow! The stemware is very pretty too. The white roos goes perfect with his tie; you have such fabulous elements in your table I could look at it all day! Really impressive!
Love and God bless America NOW AND FOREVER!!
FABBY
Sonics of you to have my tiara ready! Your rooster is all dressed up and ready in his patriotic tie and your rim shots are great! Happy independence week--hope you can stay cool. Linda
Dynamic tablescape. I love your skillful mix of elements, and the fabric for your tablecloth is wonderful. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Cherry Kay
Ginger, what a fun table from using everything that you already had. The crowning touches are the boa and tiara... perfect!
Looks like you were all set for the 4th! Always love red, white and blue, very pretty:@)
This is great!! I have that same boa. :) I wear it for Flag Day at our school. I adore the various different plate layers- and your very proud 'n patriotic rooster. He really made me smile.
Ginger, you are the queen of layering dishes! Love the rimshots! The napkins look so festive, all dolled up with the favors. I have the same issue with "vintage" items that were wedding gifts. Who knew we'd be vintage at such young ages??
Ginger - you are the Wonder Woman of patriotic tablescapes! That crown should definitely be on your head! This is one of the prettiest July 4th tables that I've seen. I have GOT to get better at picking items up for the table when I see them at different places.
what a great looking holiday table
Such a spectacular table for the 4th!!...Love the hydrangeas that you chose for the centerpiece!...Mine are struggling now with this horrible heat!...Hope you had a wonderful holiday!!....and love, love the tiaras and boas!...So makes me smile!
Love your rim shot! Great table and I'm enjoying all the r,w & b this week! hugs, Linda
Ginger, everything is simply beautiful and arranged perfectly. I'm loving that flag tablecloth. It looks like tablecloth fabric that I saw this week. Great tablescape! Helen
Ginger, Love when you can shop at home. What a great supply of dishware you have. Great Goodwill finds. I love thrifting, consider it recycling of the highest order. Thanks for inspiring. Happy Summer. ~CJ
Hi, Ginger! Why is your garden "struggling" this year? Is it because of the intense heat? I think your hydrangea still look quite lovely despite. I'm going to try to throw some good mojo your way for your garden to thrive the way you want it to! I think EVERY woman should wear a tiara at least 4 or 5 times a year. And one that lights up like yours is all the better! I will have to visit your Etsy shop re: the 60" fabric. I don't know diddly about sewing and fabric and stuff, but if that means that your fabric is 60" wide and then you can get it as long as you want it, I'm in!!! I don't see a lot of that...it's mostly just 45" wide which is of absolutely no use to me whatsoever!!! I hope you had a good 4th of July!
How do I find your Etsy shop? I've looked all over the Home page for a button to push, but I don't see one!
What a fun and perfect r/w/b tablescape! I love those blue plaid dishes. All of it looks great! I hope you and your family had a wonderful 4th of July. visiting from Let's Dish!
Dearest Ginger,
You really displayed the COLORS! Funny when I see the red-white & blue that is adopted from our Dutch flag's colors.
