A LITTLE TWEAK HERE, A LITTLE TWEAK THERE!

A week or so after the Fourth of July,
I put the patriotic decor away until September.
After all the fireworks
I wanted to cool things down a little!
Honestly it didn't work because it was 101 degrees
here today. Not sure about the index.

If cooling down the sideboard could help
with the summer heat, I was going for it.
I decided to go for all white, well, almost.
You know I have to have a little blue around.
Mr. Cockle Doodle Doo has been hanging around
here for a year now. You can read about him
I reused a lot of the same items. It is amazing
how just taking away the deep red and blue made
such a difference. The orbs are from my collection of blue and white.
Playing around with the photos is something very new to me. Two years ago, I wouldn't believe such
photo manuplitation was possible.
My grandson was very helpful in introducing
me to photo editing.
The small milkglass bowls are vintage and available in our Etsy Shoppe. The candlestick was thrifted.
The hydrangea from the garden are struggling.
The second round of blooms are much smaller
than these beauties. I have had the white pitcher
for some time. I use it a lot for flowers
and occasionally for beverages.
The chicken was from HomeGoods and the
reticulated bowl with lid is from Hobby Lobby.
We don't have a Hobby Lobby in Savannah!

IS ANYONE OUT THERE LISTENING???????

Oh no, I am getting hot. Gotta cool back down.
OK, I'm ready.

Thanks for visiting the cooled down kitchen.
Now, didn't that help those hot flashes.
I don't charge for that.

I am loving all of your white objects. I have a white cow like your chicken. I cannot believe that you do not have a Hobby Lobby!

Hi Ginger!

I know everyone is suffering in this heat. I hope you have AC and are at least comfortable in you house.

Your white decor is at least cool and peaceful looking. The only Hydrangeas I can have here are the silk kind.

I really miss being able to walk the dogs, even after dark it is over 100 degrees. I guess I better start getting up at 4:am... but all that is pretty normal for our desert weather.

Thanks for sharing at my party :)

Oh my, we are being roasted here in the south; so hot!
You created however a lovely display and it looks 'cool'... Ha-ha we need that, isn't it?

Your changes are beautiful. I love all the creamy whites!

Well, since I'm your near neighbor, I will say that my rough estimate is that the heat index is 212 degrees. Close enough?

I really love all your white spread around. I've been on a white kick for a few years now, and I just plain can't get enough of it.

And the lack of a HL in Savannah continues to boggle my mind.

Whatever it takes to keep cool do it. I have not found many ways except under the AC in Texas.

Oh, golly, that's right! I forgot! There is NOT a Hobby Lobby in Savannah. NOW I remember how much that freaked me out when we planned to move there! My husband thought I had lost my mind if that was the deal breaker! :-) We must rally to get a Hobby Lobby to you ASAP. It's not fair that you can't have a Hobby Lobby OR a CTS like Kathleen & Alma have up there in the NE!!!!! We'll just have smack some people around to get what we want!!! :-) I hope the weekend cools off a bit for you. We actually got to enjoy a day under 100 yesterday...AND finally some rain! After nearly 2 months without rain, we finally got a little something to quench our lawns' thirst! Take care!!!

Your sideboard decor is cool and pretty. I love all the white ceramic with the gorgeous blues of your hydrangea! That rooster has some attitude, doesn't he? It's as if he is saying "don't bother looking at the other stuff. I'm the best!"

Lovely white collection, Ginger.
That reticulated bowl is wonderful!
No Hobby Lobby here either!
Thanks for linking to Let's Dish!
Hope it has cooled off there.

The redo is great. I agree, just changing up the look, going all white can cool down an area. That is one of the first things I seem to do when Spring hits, change out to a lot of white. Thank you for sharing this with us last week at TTF. I hope you are having a terrific week!
