Let's Take A Break

DON'T FORGET TO SIGN
UP FOR MY GIVEAWAY!!
HERE!!
ENDS MIDNIGHT DEC 2ND!
~~~~~~~~
I don't know about you,
but this decorating has me
"PLUM TUCKERED OUT"
This is "Butters" cuz he is so fat plus he is always "tuckered out".
Just stop what you're doing and take a break with me.
 I hosted my Bunco group here on Monday. We had a few of these Snapple Peach Teas left over.
 It was cold here today.
 I know, I know, we don't know cold weather when we pass it on the street. For Savannah, it was cold, maybe 57 Fahrenheit.
A concoction of peach tea, cinnamon stick and a little nutmeg.  Now let's warm that up a little.
While that's warming I will set my place.
 My friend Margaret, remember "Tea For Margaret",
gave me these little holly cocktail napkins a few years ago. I will use one of those for a coaster.
 You are getting a little peek into the decorations shaping up in the kitchen.
My placemat is actually a vintage dresser scarf. I am using a Nikko dessert plate. You will see the cup, shortly. I am treating myself to my antique International's Stratford salad fork and fruit spoon. I am using the fruit spoon for my beverage, just because I like it and I can!
Remember "This"
Well, it has been cut, on Thanksgiving actually.
Add my mulled peach tea and I am set for my break.
My this is some fine dining! My, this fruitcake is yummy. It is so rich you can't eat much but you get a great sugar high. I will save some for Sweet Old Bob. You know that peach tea concoction is really tasty and warm, too!
You can see the mug better here. The mugs and dessert plates have matching designs. There are four designs in all, a wreath, bell, Christmas tree and ornament all formed with the leaves and berries.
Thanks for joining me. Don't you have a new burst of energy now? OK, let's get back to Decking the Halls.
Got to get ready for the Christmas Blog Party!
Dearest Ginger,
Lovely setting and great tea. I could feel the warmth even here... You know how to stir up something special. Love the little coaster you used here and all other things. But you have to sleep lady. Good night from one night-owl to the other...
Love to you,
Mariette
Your basket of festive balls is very pretty. We have several baskets like that around the house too. It's easy to feel in the Christmas mood when you see the pretty colors. Your cake looks yummy! My mom has made a cake for years that looks very similar to that one.
Thanks for inviting us for this break. We all work so hard this time of year that it's nice to have a breather.
Wish I could stretch out like Butters and take a nap myself! That hot peach tea sounds delicious. I have played in the same bunco group since the 1970s. So much fun!
That looks so delicious Ginger. And you make it look so pampering with so a pretty place setting.
I'm totally with you on being tuckered out. I have pretty much sneezed and slept for 2 days. I thought I was going to feel better after a day of rest last Friday and here it is a week later and I just can't seem to re-coup.
OX's...Tracy :)
Perfect! I need a break, too. Mine won't be as fancy as yours, but I hear a cookie and sherbet calling my name!
Hopping today.
It's cold and raining here this morning. 57 degrees. Time for tea. Your cup and plate are beautiful. Happy December.
You just KNEW that us Northerners were going to jump all over you for calling 57 degrees "cold." Wise that you put up that disclaimer! :-) We are expecting temps in the 20s tonight, and in the teens in the coming week. Daytime highs will be in the 30s and 40s. We don't even consider THAT cold!!! (Although I did go ahead and pick my fur coats up from storage today!) I am so head over heels with those pretty, dainty little cocktail napkins! They are perfect! Very cozy post, Ginger. Stay warm! ;-)
