Simple Easter Supper

Vintage Dishes Not The Food!!

Let's set up for a simple supper with friends to usher in the Holy Week.

Let's get started with Bob's free flowers.
You can read more about the free flowers HERE.
Perk up last weeks roses.
You can revive fading flowers by submerging them in cold water, If they are not too far gone.
I was able to reuse these from a dozen.
Choose a container.
This was a thrift store find many years ago.

Aren't they cute?

Oasis in a food container. Bunnies, have a hairline crack.
Now to set the table.
The Blue Onion pieces are used daily and will be moved.
The beaded runner is from Pier One after Easter Sale.
The flowers in the bunnies are last week's.
Finished centerpiece on milkglass cake plate.
See how nice the roses look. They are a week old.
Placemat Dillard's 70% off sale. Large dinner plate, Dollar Tree. Using for greater contrast.

Dinner plate Homer Laughlin. Wedding gift 1958. Vintage enough?

Bunny plate, Pier One, same sale.
He keeps giving me the eye! I think he's flirting with me. I think he is cute too!
Looks like an egg cup. Not, we will having fruit. Kim brought these to me in March.
The sterling is Wallace's "Waltz of Spring". Did any of you pick out a silver pattern when you were a senior in high school. In the 50's this was the custom. This is the pattern I chose when I was l8 years old. I didn't have the money to purchase any at the time. I forgot about it and years later decided to see if I could find it. Yep!! I found it. It is now discontinued and is vintage!
The blue tinted goblet was part of our 12 day's of Christmas gift. You can read about it here
Now let's just look around before our friends arrive.

Palm fronds to remember the Palm Sunday.

These little houses are part of a lighted village. This I am using what happened to be on the first floor.
No one in this house felt like bringing the boxes down.

My daughters will laugh when they see I had this much stuff already downstairs.
Most was acquired after last Easter.

Better view of the cake plate.

This is Bob and me. He's sooooooo sweet! Most of the time.

HA, HA! THE YOKES ON YOU!!! These are salt and pepper shakers. HomeGoods, this year.

I have used these votives previously but I love the white and It goes well here. Dollar Tree finds.
I truly hope that you have enjoy helping me set the table. Please leave a comment, they are like colored Easter eggs.
Have a blessed Easter Week!
I am linking the following gracious hostesses and their wonderful parties.
Be sure to link back to them for more fun.

Dearest Ginger,

Perfect Easter setting. You make it very colorful and mix in lots of sentimental value as well. Great flatware. I picked mine too when I was 18 and still have it.
Smart way to revive your rosebuds that way in floating water!

Have a great Holy Week and a Happy Easter.

Lots of love,

Mariette

Ginger, what a wonderfully inviting Easter tablescape! I've never seen your silver flatware pattern before, but I love it. Waltz of Spring ... how perfect! Happy Easter to you and yours.

A beautiful Easter table! So colorful and springy. You and I have the same bunny centerpiece but used differently. I just LOVE your egg S&P shakers!!!

It's so festive and pretty! I kept changing my mind as to a favorite part. I was just about settled on bunny who was giving you the eye when you gave a close up of the napkin ring.

THATS my favorite part.

It was wonderful all the way around, and I would love to sit at your Easter table.

I love silver! I didn't know that the tradition was to pick it in high school. My grandmother's was started when she was a little girl. I always looked forward to picking my silver for my wedding. (I knew I would pick Francis the First since it would match the set I already had) but now a days every piece is so expensive I don't think people like to spend so much on just a spoon! Such a shame! Loved your post! Both of my grandmothers love dishes too!

Every element is wonderful, and it all came together so well. I looove the napkin rings, which I think are the cutest I have seen this week.

And I sincerely understand about using what is on the ground floor, rather than searching upstairs. Just the week I found the box of St Pat's stuff that I was so mad about not locating in time for that table!

Hello, Ginger! What an absolutely fun table!!! Those salt & pepper shakers are a hoot! I can just see my grandkids wanting to season everything with them "just because." I've been to your site before via Tablescape Thursdays, but another blogger told me I should definitely get in touch with you. My husband & I will be relocating to Savannah in a few weeks. We visited there a couple of weeks ago for about a 24 hour period, but that is it other than a quickie tourist tour back in 2004 when we were visiting Tybee Island. I could really use some guidance from someone who knows Savannah well. I probably sound like a big baby in saying this, but I have never lived away from home (Kansas City, MO area) in all of my 53 years. I am scared out of my wits!!! There is always a certain rhythm, a unique culture, a different mojo to every city or town. While I know it will take a while to get into step (because it's seems more often to be something you feel than something you learn), it sure would help to get a few pointers! I don't think I'm a "no comment reply." I'm on WordPress rather than Blogger, so I'm not sure how to check. I did go into my profile and it seems that people can reply. If you can't, however, would you mind just emailing me at table21tablescapes@gmail.com? I promise not to wear you out! :-) Thank you, and have a wonderful Easter weekend!

Thank you for stopping by my blog. I just love your post and of course had to help a little. (smile) I think I love Easter more than any other holiday because when I was young (the youngest in the family) my brothers and sisters really made me think there was an Easter Bunny (long story).... So it has always been my favorite.

Have a wonderful week and a blessed Easter!!

Ginger, this is fun AND beautiful at the same time! Love the soft colors you used. That centerpiece looks gorgeous, and I've never seen that unique and beautiful flatware pattern. I think you already had a great eye when you were a Sr. in H.S.! What cute napkin rings, and those bunny plates are just adorable. I also like the way you added the palm leaves to the table. Thank you so much for linking to Favorite Things. laurie
P.S. You asked about my climbing rose bush. I've always just called them Tea Roses, but commenters were calling them Lady Banks Roses, so maybe that's what they are. I do enjoy them so much. Glad you like them too.

Thank you for coming by Ginger and for liking my dishes. We had a ceramic factory; my hubby sold it 3 yrs. ago and we made about 14-15 designs. I have posts with three patterns before this one. Yep, I was inspired in the Ecuadorian native indian women's embroidered cloting, skirts and blouses and even the men's shirts. I always write about the inspiration source in my posts. Thank you for asking.
