A Most Wonderful Time

TIS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!

John 12:12-20 (King James Version)

We have gone through a harsh winter. Many of us have suffered through horrific snow, ice and rain storms. Even this week areas of our great land have been hit with floods and tornados. Pray for friends and loved ones across our country.
Still, through it all, SPRING HAS ARRIVED! Everywhere we look, we see renewal, reclamation, resurrection and rebirth. In springtime we are reminded that life is ongoing, a circle unbroken. The crocus peeks through the snow, the barren tree puts forth it chartreuse leaves.
Dare we think that it was by chance that God chose this season to bring fulfillment to his greatest giftI think not!
Renewal
Reclamation
Forgiveness, resurrection, rebirth.
May we remember the GIFT not only this season but each day as we take in new breath.

Dearest Ginger,

Great post!
So glad you're also showing some 'Rhododendrons' (common name Azaleas...) as it must be quite a show in your city right now! Enjoy it and thanks again for the spiritual thoughts.

Lots of love,

Mariette

They say that great minds think alike so you and I must share "being great" with being "granny nannies" as I'm in the midst of writing about the JOYS of spring too - even if it is playing peek-a-boo a lot - for Tuesday. And what an intriguing thought that God hand picked Spring for Jesus resurrection (many think it was spring that He was born, as well). I love it! Thanks for a delightful visit for Spiritual Sunday - from one granny nanny to another granny :)

Ginger,
Isn't that the truth? I always feel like all of creation is celebrating Easter too, with all the rebirth of springtime!

I always link spring to rebirth. Planting blubs to hope... and the list goes on. Lovely post.
