IS IT SPRING OR WHAT!!

Disclosure!! I have no idea why I have this enormous space between the end of this post and comment link!! I have tried to correct through editing. It only gets worse. If anyone has the answer to this dilemma PLEASE HELP!!
I KNOW SOME OF YOU, IN OTHER AREAS,  ARE STILL LOOKING FOR SPRING.

I AM GETTING CABIN FEVER BUT AT LEAST SPRING HAS ARRIVED IN SAVANNAH!

WITH MY "SWEET OLD BOB'S" HELP,  I WAS ABLE TO BRING SPRINGTIME INSIDE.
IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO CARRY DISHES AND ACCESSORIES TO AND FRO WHILE USING A WALKER.  I ASKED BOB TO BRING WHAT I NEEDED TO THE TABLE.  HE WAS SO SWEET AND CUTE "TOTING" DISHES.
I will be using the kitchen table for awhile. It requires less dishes and is easier to navigate. You can see that Bob has already brought some dishes to the table. He is shaking his head but he keeps bringing "stuff" to the table.
THE TABLE IS AN ANTIQUE,  FROM AN INN,  IN ENGLAND.  IT IS NARROWER THAN MOST TABLES.
The table is rubbed every couple of months with teak oil. There are two additional 12 inch draw extensions.
My Daughter, in Illinois, brought these dishes to me in March. She found them in a thrift shop in southern Illinois.
She brought me the little pure white dishes but I won't be using them today. I will be using the turquoise and white. This was a set of 59 pieces that she purchased for $25.00. YES! For all of them.

THE STACKING PROCESS
This placemat is really turquoise as you will notice later.
This beautiful pattern is "Petal Lane" by Taylor-Smith-Taylor and the pattern is from the 50's. It is a soft white with a silver rim, delicate turquoise flowers with touches of pink. My first kitchen was turquoise...stove, oven, sink. The whole shabang!
 A generous sized soup/salad/pasta bowl
I am in love with the cup and saucer. Isn't it the cutest thing?
Today I am adding this fruit/berry bowl to hold another piece.
I mentioned this sherbet in my cupboard post HERE.
I purchased these with S and H Green Stamps in 1963. There wasn't a lot of money for dishes in those days.
Doesn't this say spring to you?  I love it. The napkins are a silver weave fabric and the silver is antique sterling introduced in 1902 by International Silversmiths. Pattern is Stratford. It is long since discontinued.

This pattern features carnations and exquisite detail on front and back. My skills and camera don't properly capture the detail.
Salad fork. Couldn't get good pic. Too much reflection.
Fruit spoon. Sorry about the pics. Pics don't do this silver justice.
I absolutely love this cup and saucer.

The orchid is a gift from a friend, this week. I hope my brown thumb doesn't kill it. Any tips for keeping orchids alive are appreciated.

I love the color inside the gravy boat and the detail on the ladle.

You can see the round tipped knife. That spot on the blade is not there. The blades are plate. You have seen the goblet before, it was thrifted.
It is so lovely now. My fingers are crossed.

The votives are from Dollar Tree

A small peek of the salt and pepper shakers and relish tray. Don't know where their closeups went.

I HOPE SPRING HAS ARRIVED WHERE YOU LIVE.
I ENJOYED SHARING SPRING IN MY KITCHEN.
I WILL BE JOINING THE FOLLOWING PARTIES:
PLEASE LINK UP TO THESE PARTIES FOR INSPIRATION. THANK YOU, DEAR FRIENDS FOR HOSTING.

Absolutely gorgeous and springy. I have some of those beautiful placemats, don't the wavy edges just do something for a table. What a fun way to display your fabulous egg. Is it hand painted? It was fun to see you build it. Have a wonderful spring and pray that ours finally comes because I am so jealous of you southern girls!

Your table is absolutely beautiful! I am a fan of turquoise, and it surely proclaims "spring." And I'm with you on the teacups. Sigh. And your loving husband of 52 years was so kind to get all that stuff out for you. Maybe you enjoyed a meal at that pretty table! I can tell you enjoyed creating it.

Ginger,
WoW! What a beautiful Spring tablescape! Your dishes are gorgeous! I remember my parents using S & H green stamps. "Mr. Ed" and I began saving them in the first year of our marriage...then when we went to the Army...I divided them evenly among both our parents. Never had the opportunity of making a purchase with them. Thank you for your sweet comment and visit. Stop by again soon, dear!
Fondly,
Pat
