SAVANNAH THANKSGIVING

Well, I have certainly enjoyed my first two weeks in your world.

Thanksgiving is a special time of the year
Of course we all know that.
It is special this year because I have made so many new friends. I wish each of you a blessed Thanksgiving

Come, let's go into the Dining Room
Everything I am using can go in the dishwasher.
We are having a casual dinner and
we will be entertaining
my daughter and two grandsons from Illinois
(Gives me more time with the grands)

I am starting with an inexpensive tablecloth with fall colors and leaf pattern
A natural woven charger and simple plate
Layered with linen napkins, everyday salad plate,
decorative leaf plate and covered soup bowl.
No pumpkin soup here, we're serving
Clam Chowder
Ladle is a treasured piece

Of course we are serving iced tea and
with turkey, we will also offer white wine.

You saw portions of the centerpiece at MM

Susan probably got a better deal on
her black version of this flatware
Now just look around

I am still learning to make evening pics.

I may be preparing for Thanksgiving but
these next pics are TOOOOO spooky!
Does anyone remember the movie
"Straw Man"?
Is a visitor peeking in the window?

A lovely table . I love the cutlery (flatware) The ladle looks like one I have that I showed on MM the other week!! You sound like my kinda person, items that go in the dishwasher, buying items on clearance!! We don't go for iced tea much here in the UK, except possibly in a hot Summer, a lovely hot cup of tea is the best!! Great post, have a good day, Jackie in Surrey, UK.

I think this table is gorgeous. Beautiful colors, and I enjoyed looking at the differently shaped dishes. I would love some of that flatware, too.

Love your table Ginger, everything works so well together and your shopping ability just goes to show that it doesn't have to be expensive to be beautiful.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful table and your pictures look fabulous. I'm so photo challenged I appreciate anyone who can take a picture that comes across without blurs and discoloration.

Hi, this is my first visit to your blog, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Loved your tablescape, and those little soup tureens are precious! The whole setting was perfect.

I'm down the road a bit in Florida. Hope you're having the nice weather we are... sunny and low humidity. The Chamber of Commerce ordered it! ;-)

Happy Tablescape Thursday...

XO,

Sheila :-)

Very Pretty! You did a great job.
Thanks for stopping by. The pumpkin was originally orange - painted it white, and used a rubon (from HL) for the design.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend.
