MY PINTEREST HAS BEEN HACKED!

My Pinterest account was hacked over the weekend.

Pictures and sites are being pinned onto various boards on my Pinterest. They indicate that I have pinned them. I have not pinned these items. These pics are of scantily clad women and often alluding to self improvement and weight loss.

If you see something of this nature saying I pinned it, I DID NOT.

Everyone should check their pinterest account to see if a similar thing has happened to you. I have contacted Pinterest to investigate. Check your feed to see if your friends are posting things that are out of character for them.  I will be leaving these posts up while Pinterest looks into this, then they will be deleted.

Just a thought, could this be why our sweet Shelia @ Note Songs was blocked by someone!
Please bear with me while it gets cleared.
Thank you

Update. I have deleted the spammed pins and Pinterest has block the website involved. Please still check your Pinterest account.

So sorry to hear, Ginger. I once had a "porn star" follow me on Pinterest, I blocked them and reported it to Pinterest. Which was easier to do in the beginning. I also had a "porn star" follow me on Twitter, blocked them too. xo

Dearest Ginger,
I've never liked Pinterest... did check my account and there is nothing pinned; neither by me nor by others. Oh, yes, they DID pin things off my blog and off my website.
It does not even yield customers; to me Pinterest is just a playground for 'grown ups'... And indeed, some have too much time on their hands and can damage our on line reputation big time!
Hugs to you dear!

Doesn't that just make you wanna smack the intestines outta someone???!?! OK...maybe that's just me who overreacts like that, but man...what a mess! Why can't people just leave other people's stuff alone? Makes me so mad!!! I'm glad you were able to get the problem cleared up. I just checked my account. So far, so good. Thanks for the tip!

I saw those and wondered if that was the case -- figured you weren't really the type to be posting this. I have had so much trouble with spam and porno email etc., that I am about ready to throw all my electronics in the ocean~ Hope you get this all taken care of. Now I am going to check mine~

I better go check. Thanks for the warning. It will be interesting to see how long it takes for Pinterest to get to the crux of the problem. This is not good.

I've had an issue with Pinterest for a while, Ginger. I'm still insisting that it be looked into. I'm sorry you've had this problem. ~Zuni

I'm so sorry Ginger for all the trouble this has caused you. Pinterest is a wonderful thing. Too bad that people with less than honorable interests have to get their hands on things and mess it up for the rest of us. Quite a while ago I noticed people pinning my things and then linking them with weight loss and who knows what else sites. I wasted a lot of time notifying Pinterest of this...but hopefully it was worthwhile because I haven't seen any more of it.
Best wishes for a speedy resolution!
[hugs]
