~My Blue Christmas Part II~

If you missed Part I

As mentioned before we are traveling...not decorating.
~~~~~~~~~
I dug through pictures that I had taken before I started blogging. These are from 2009, I think!
The color scheme is still Blue, White and Silver.
Dining Room Table
As you can tell I use many things over and over
but in different rooms and displays.
Polly Penguin was found on the top shelf
of a thrift shop. Five dollars and
she went home with me.
Dollar Tree stemware, snowflake coaster and silver pine cones.
The china is Royal Doulton, Royal Gold. The flatware is
Wallace sterling, Golden Aegean Weave.
The Napkin is gold but shows copper in the pic.
A closeup of Polly and one of her babies
who started life as an ornament.
Polly says this her good side!
"TIP"
Her ice rink is a beveled door mirror
from a big box store. I use it often
as a table runner.
Polly's ice rink is dotted with mercury glass trees and various ice themed items. Hey, we have to cool off here anyway we can!
The mercury glass was collected over many years,
always on sale and always cheap!!
Each year the Waterford ornaments hang
from this chandelier by sheer iridescent ribbon.
They are far too heavy for the tree.
A couple of brighter shots around the dining room.
The gold embellished wine glass is from Portugal.
Before we finish up with the blue
~~~~~~~~~
I will share my blue mantel circa 2009.
Same reindeer, same candle cylinders but a little different
Added mercury ornaments for a teardrop effect.
I usually just start with a greenery base and let the design
go where it may. I keep tweaking until Bob says ""NUFF".
I will share another look for the mantel soon!

I'll be back later with the "golden" tree, kitchen decor
and best of all the "NATIVITIES"

Before you go let's take a minute to remember.

They don't decimate my flowers!

I LOVE the chandlier. It is magnificent. Ginger, I hope you stop by Uptown Acorn soon. xo
GINGER!!!! You're BACK!!!!!!!!! Hooray! I've missed you!!! This shows that you have been a leader in good taste for years, not just because you blog. Very pretty! I love the mantel!!! It's gorgeous! That's MY kind of mantel decor!!! And you paid just $5 for Polly?!??!?!! Talk about a bargain! Wow!!! That's great! What I love most about this tablescape is that fact that it is so lush. There is something to keep the eye busy at every turn. I love tables like that. I love that you extended the look up to the chandelier with your gorgeous collection of Waterford ornaments. That's a great idea. Lovely, lovely, lovely! I'm headed over to see Part 1.
Ginger, so glad you are sharing.. Will there be any decorating? Love the idea of the door mirror rink.. I'm having a duh moment. Your table is so pretty. That Penguin would have jumped in my basket too. Love your MG trees... this is just lovely.. xo marlis
I thoroughly enjoyed the look back across the years with the way you decorate. I cannot decide if Polly or the reindeer are my favorites.
Your mantle is gorgeous! and your table is beautiful! I also love your idea of hanging the crystal ornaments from your tree...I have many of those same ornaments but didn't pull them out this year. I only hung my Swarovski and don't like to mix them...now you have my mind swirling and they jst might come out!
It's been so long since I took time to really visit around the way I want to, and THIS is what I find when I too. This whole thing is simply GORGEOUS. I love the sparkle and all the elegant details with the blue and white.
It's like a wonderland.
Hi Ginger,
So glad to see you! I always love seeing your gorgeous décor, blue and white being a big favorite of mine. The chandy is gorgeous, but the mantle is just a dream!
Big hugs and happy holidays,
