DOES BAILEY LOVE COFFEE??

Well, Coffee Loves Bailey's
A few years ago, I saw a blog that posted a New Year's Eve dinner where the hostess served coffee in these cups!

I became obsessed with these delightful cups.
I have forgotten who that lady was, so if you are she or if you know her, let me know. I would like to give her credit for my obsession! Bob may also want to speak with her as well!
It turns out that these beauties were sold by Bailey's Irish Cream as Limited Edition Advertising Novelties
in 1996.
As I set out on my quest to acquire twelve cups, there are no saucers made for these. I discovered that there
was also available, a sugar and creamer. WooHoo!
I found a set of those as well.

As the obsession quest continued, would believe, yes, you would, there was a coffee pot available also? You've seen the pictures, you know how this ended.
You can see the coffee pot better here as I was beginning to set up the service.
You have already noticed the cups come as ladies and gents. The sugar bowl and coffee pot are gents and the creamer is a lady. I am thinking a guy designed these, cuz the sugar and coffee pot (the boss of this group) are gents. As we all know, ladies are much sweeter and we are the BOSS! However, we are very nice so we'll give'em ONE!
I had planned to share this adorable service for some time. Recently I found these adorable Kemp and Beatley napkin rings and knew the time was right. Don't you agree that these are perfect with Mr. and Mrs. Bailey?
I have used my crochet lunch napkins from Horchow.
I purchased these napkin rings last month on Ebay. Only Rena knows what a hard time I had getting them delivered. NO fault of hers but mine and our fabulously efficient post office.
I have set up the breakfast sideboard for coffee, muffins, cinnamon rolls, berries and of course Bailey's (I feel funny about showing Bailey's on the blog. Besides they're not paying me).
A small footed plate and cloche, dollar tree ribbon and hydrangea that has already dried.
A matching reticulated cup for strawberries and a vintage handmade lace piece. Hey, Shelia, I scrunched it! That's good right?
I have used Wallace's Golden Aegean Weave sterling.
Serving goodies on Westmoreland's Forget Me Not milk glass.
Flowers from the garden are scarce as "hen's teeth".
But I found a few!

International's Stratford sterling.
A recap and we're out'ta here.

Now let's party here:

Why, yes! Bailey does love coffee. (Especially Dunkin Donuts coffee.) I would love it even more in those precious cups. Even better, for me, they would be personalized! Let me just say that this coffee setting is very cute... and of all the table settings I view - this is different and has pizzazz!

Love the napkin rings and they are perfect with the cups! DID NOT know about the pot, creamer or sugar but we had a wine and spirit shop and the cups were "freebies" one Christmas. After Christmas, we had many packages left with lots of those cups! We took them off the packages (sells better that way) and kept them at the store and then sold them all when we had a big auction. If I only knew!

I have a confession to make: "I ADORE MY COFFEE WITH BAILY'S!!!!!" I always have it to offer for after dinner and I have it on my own coffee myself.
Wish I went to your house to have coffee and B. in these cute cups.

Dearest Ginger,

Another of your signature spunky posts! You got the most unusual things and the way you went after them; as a pit bull for the Bailey set! LOVE it.
Are those napkin ring holders containing anything or is that just the look?
Hugs to you,

This buffet is just adorable. I also love those cups and actually had purchased at Xmas the bottle of Baileys which came with two cups. I don't have them any longer and now am missing them. I just saw the creamer and sugar this week at a resale shop down the street where I work! You've done a lovely job.

Thanks for coming by my blog! Yes, I just saw the comment from Silvina at Tazas. I too have the same addiction to the Baileys stuff! I think I have about 15 cups (I gave 4 away to my sister), and two cream sugar sets. I also have the tea pot! There is a cookie jar as part of the collection, but the woman I bought mine from on ebay didnt pack it properly and it came in a billion pieces. Thank goodness it was insured, but still very disappointing. I'm glad to see I'm not the only connoisseur of fine kitch china!!!

I too have become obsessed with these cups! I used to buy a baileys irish cream bottle and set each Christmas back in the 90's. Recently my mom gave them back as she is downsizing

it sent me on a quest!

I have now found out there not only were boy and girl cups with different coloured bows I might add ie. light blue yellow dots, light blue white dots, dark blue and yellow with green dots, yellow with silver dots etc but .... there were boy and girl creamers boy and girl cookie jars!

I too for the longest time thought .. there was only a boy teapot - which I search for myself!

and then I came across an old baileys add for the full set! All pieces mentioned.. with one exception!

In the photo.. it clearly shows both a Boy and Girl Tea Pot! The girl though.. I have only seen the add photo. I have never seen a photo of the real thing but I do know it exists!
