TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS!!!!!

DID YOU KNOW
TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS
BEGINS ON DECEMBER 1ST?

In my world it does!

My ADORABLE daughter and two of my Grandsons
came to visit for Thanksgiving.

We had decided, as a family, to scale back
gift giving and be more creative in the process.
They furnished the tree and decorations

Our two ADORABLE daughters got together
to prepare special gifts for Bob and me.
Since Illinois daughter was the one visiting,
she was designated to put together this display.
The gifts and tree are set up in our bedroom
The two hatched and executed the gifts together.

In a silver bowl are twelve envelopes for Bob.

On the tree are twelve notes
with hints about twelve gifts for me.
I was told that my gifts have a theme.
TABLE SCRAPS FOR TABLESCAPES!!
We will have to see where this leads.
Like we don't have an idea!

Per instructions we open one card/gift each day.

The GOOD NEWS! We get to start,  DECEMBER 1st.

Early this morning Bob awakened, tore open the window and threw up the sash! OOPs! Wrong story.

Anyhoo, we were pushing, shoving and running at breakneck speed to our beautiful display.
WHOO HOO! LET ME AT 'EM!

Bob got his opened first, a scratch off lottery card.
Quick,  get a coin. Scratch, scratch, scratch.
Alas, not a winner.
But he is a winner! It appears he will have eleven more chances plus that BIG gift bag in the back.

Now, it's my turn. Let's read the note.
Yes! I'm gonna read the note!

"On the first day of December
Table Scraps presents to you...
Something special for
the birthday of your maker..."
                                                                          Kim and Hollie

Beautiful gift bag says snow. Wow, look at all
that snow falling out. Real cute, missy!

Oh, Oh, I can feel it, let me get it open!
You girls!  These are the salt and pepper shakers I have been trying to steal errr get Tennessee daughter to give me forever and a day. You see they match something I already have. That was sooooo sweet. I love you both with all my heart.
Cracker Barrel - Lebanon, Tn
GEE, we can't wait for tomorrrow.
I hope you will follow us through this neat experience that our ADORABLE daughters have put together for us.
I won't burden you with a daily post but I will be sharing every couple of days.

LET ME JUST ADD HOW BLESSED I AM TO HAVE FOUND SUCH SWEET FRIENDS.
Please leave a comment. Remember they are like
Christmas Gifts.

Next, I would like to steal those cute salt and pepper shakers too. Can't wait to hear the rest of the story. How fun. What a wonderful idea to do for someone to make their holiday extra special.
