DAY SEVEN THRU TWELVE!
Although we never missed a beat in opening our gifts on a daily basis, I personally have been having some time management problems. I am sure most can identify, especially at this time.
First I had some medication reactions and then we had to deal with the Grinch's favorite Christmas Tree. You know the one that lights up, you walk out of the room and it goes out. Four days this mad woman wrestled with that tree before giving up the fight.
Back to fun stuff.
We continued our fight with that snow! It was aggravating but I know some of you are dealing with the real stuff. I pray that you are safe and snug in your festive homes.

DAY SEVEN THRU TWELVE
Sweet Old Bob continued his scratch, scratch, scratch routine and ended with the equivalent of $9.00.
Not bad for 12 days of laughs.
On DAY TWELVE
he also got to open that large bag.
Sweet Old Bob is a Crappy fisherman. The tin has a Bass Pro Shop gift certificate. This was a perfect gift |
DAY SEVEN I lucked up with some beautiful Santa votives and a package of cinnamon candles.
You will see them again if I can get the Open House post together (I will).
DAY EIGHT brought a beautiful snack set. I can see my friend Margaret and me having fruitcake and eggnog. (Oh, she did come for tea, but didn't want her photo taken)
Aren't these beautiful. Coalbelt Antiques, Benton, Il. |
DAY NINE was eight beautiful blue glasses and a package of snowman napkins. (you will begin to see a trend evolve)
These have such a beautiful soft blue hue. I can see them in a tablescape soon! |
DAY TEN came with a message ("Something to calm your "spirits"in case you are ready to bail"). Nine beautiful cocktail glasses and a package of holiday napkins. Boy, I could use something to boost my spirit just now! These are beautiful.
More tablescapes? You bet!! Dollar Tree, Mt Vernon, Il. |
DAY ELEVEN and the girls are really coming through with the fun and the snow! Ten snowflake tumblers and a package of holiday napkins (I have plenty of holiday napkins on hand for any occasion).
Sweet Old Bob likes the size of these. Search the Son Thrift Shop, Carmi, Il. |
DAY TWELVE I opened the last bag, dripping with snow, and found thirteen of the cutest Santa glasses. Yes, I said thirteen. A baker's dozen as the girls call it. Thank you for being such loving souls. Your Dad and I are so proud of you. Thank you.
Kim, Hollie we love you.
Did we say thank you?
DAY THIRTEEN
THE GRINCH IS ON THE SCENE!
Sweet Old Bob and I were wondering
what we would do each morning
since that room full of fun gifts was gone.
What we didn't count on was the GRINCH!
You see, he took our beautiful 20 yr old tree. The one that had 1,000 lights and revolved.
He left a piece of junk in it's place. His junk went black every time the circuit was broken.
After several days of madness I gave in(Bob gave up early on, he is smarter than me) and went scurrying around town for a new one, at this late date.
Well, we have a new tree (it doesn't revolve, boo hoo).
I need to get busy! |
Whoville now has a
beautiful vintage tree with 1,000 lights
and a revolving tree stand.
Merry Christmas Whoville!!
Thanks for taking the twelve day journey with us. I hope you had a few laughs, a little fun and got to know
