I was going to title this post
"BUNCO BABE'S BOOTY"
but I was afraid that would get me kicked off.
This makes a neat vignette even if it won't stay. |
Last week I attended my bunco group's Christmas Party. Each December we forego our monthly bunco game. We have lunch at a nice restaurant and exchange gifts.
You can tell I'm a new blogger, why. I forgot my camera. I am beginning to realize that is a major faux pas for a blogger.
The tables were set with white tablecloths and red napkins.
Red poinsettias lined the tables and the cutest little Cardinal, perched on greenery with a clip to place him on the Christmas tree, at each place.
Each year a different member(s) handles the details. This year's party was beautiful executed and hosted by my friends and neighbors, Mary and Dee.

See the cute little cardinal. We got candy canes and scratch off tickets. One member won $20.00. WELL, we are gamblers! |
After lunch we opened gifts. We drew numbers to determine when to choose our gift.
None of that taking other's gifts. Last time that was tried it resulted in broken eyeglasses, torn hosiery and a misplaced wig. One dear lady was never seen again.
Isn't this tea towel adorable? The red sequined ornament was on the gift bag. |
We learned our lesson!
I love this tray. I will probably use it for cookies or fruitcake. Yeh, I hear you. Yes, I make and love fruitcake. You have never tasted MINE or you would love it also. |
Did I do good or what?

OK I am joining your bunco group! I have a nice group of gals, and we just did that exchange thingy of stealing, let me just say, it got ugly! As soon as I opened my lovely gift, I sat back quietly making sure no attention was on me, it worked like a charm. The other gals, well not so much. I love your gift, that is the cutest tea towel ever.
I want a tray like that. I'll admit it, I'm jealous. I bet that would be fun to use for a dry erase message board too. Too cute.
Morning Ginger, It sounds like a fun day, food, gifts and friendship!! I have never heard of Bunco but when I looked it up on Wikipedia it says it was an English in the 18th Century!!

Your gift is beautiful...love the tray. I found you via another blog...not even sure which one as I have been surfing through quite a few trying to catch up on reading and visiting. I have enjoyed my visit and I've signed up as a follower. Please come by and visit with me when you have a chance. Looking forward to getting to know you.

Merry Christmas Ms. Ginger!
