Favorite Thrift Finds!

I always enjoy seeing posts
about your fantastic thrifting deals.

I occasionally run across great finds that I enjoy keeping.
Sometimes I photograph them but never get around to
sharing them. Today I'll share just a few of my

EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT!

First let me say!
I have been a hunter and gatherer
for more than fifty years.

Others may say I am a pack rat.

A while back I talked about downsizing some of my collections. I soon discovered that my daughters did not  have the same interest in collectibles as I.
There were many items in my collections that would not work in their homes or with their lifestyles. They DID immediately let me know what items they DID want!

Sometimes I pack things away and forget about them. Sometimes they not longer match, fit or otherwise go with what I am doing now.  I have changed dining tables so often that I have a collection of tablecloths, of varying sizes, that fit nothing currently in the house. I don't entertain as often and I find that I am not able to decorate and constantly swap out dinnerware, linens, glassware and decor as I would want.

Kim suggested that I place some of my collections up for adoption to loving families that will enjoy them as much as I. I felt overwhelmed and unable to attempt this upon my own.
WELL, CAN YOU SAY ETSY!!
YES!

Kim and I are opening an Etsy Shop called...

"SAVANNAH SECRET CELLAR"
We're celebrating with a giveaway over at
DebbieDoos Blogging and Blabbing
and we are offering a 10% discount on shoppe purchases
for the next two weeks. Discount code is SHH2011.

In addition to things from the
"SAVANNAH SECRET CELLAR"
Shhh, don't tell Bob about the secret cellar,  Kim will be offering unique and quality items that may have followed her home.

10% Discount for next two weeks
Discount code SHH2011.

This picture was taken on St. Patrick's Day. Notice the green dyed water!
Kim has a keen and discerning eye.  Learned at her mother's knee, I might add. In her job as a therapist, working with young children, she travels every back road in southern Illinois. She has climbed over and under every shed, barn, garage and charity shop in her "neck of the wood".
~Our Mission~
Savannah Secret Cellar is a mother, daughter enterprise. Ginger and Kim collaborate to offer you unique and beautiful things of the past. Many beautiful treasures of the past may have been religated to the cellar. We seek to bring the fabulous finds new light and new homes.
Should you choose to adopt one of these forgotten gems, we are sure you will be pleased with the quality of the items we offer.
Kim and I have made
some items for the Christmas Shoppe!
Please go "OVER" and check us out.
A sack of coal for that Naughty Imp on your list.
Gold nugget if you were nice!

Santa napkin sleeves, handmade by Savannah Granny. One of a kind!

Some vintage Christmas items are there as well.
Please go over and visit. We are frantically adding new things every day. We are not computer nerds and this has been a struggle. We are at the very beginning of the learning curve, expect the shoppe to improve daily. We haven't gotten a fraction of the "stuff" photographed and listed yet.

The Patron Saint of "Newbie Bloggers"
Isn't she gorgeous?

And whirlwind "Do It Yourselfer"
DEBBIE
is sponsoring a giveaway to introduce and promote
our new shoppe (Bless her sweet little heart).
If you landed here first
go over to Debbie's and sign up for the
GIVEAWAY
You will be glad you did.

Don't forget the discount code SHH2011
for the next two weeks!

I promise, this will be the ONE and ONLY post
totally devoted to
"SAVANNAH SECRET CELLAR"
I will get back to being Savannah Granny.
However, be sure to go over to look for Christmas,
handmade and vintage treasures and visit often.

Debbie and her Mom were so encouraging when I started blogging.  They hopped over to their Facebook the first and told all their friends to follow me! The rest of you great bloggers took in this old lady and shared the LOVE. I want to thank you for all your support. I have learned that the silent majority is NOT silent. You are in blogland.
I am so glad I found you and you accepted me!

Ginger
